People are celebrating nationwide today! Finally nearly 10 years since the September 11th attacks on America justice has been served. The man behind the attacks, the mastermind – Osama Bin Laden has been killed by US special forces.

After 9 years and 7 months of searching for the leader of the terrorist group al Qaeda, the United States of America finally found success. An American official said Osama Bin Laden was killed in a mansion close to the Pakistani Capital in a city called Abbottabad. This wasn’t an ordinary mansion, of course. It was EIGHT TIMES larger than any of the others on the block, surrounded by 12 to 18-foot walls topped with barbed wire, and part of a compound had insanely heavy security. The United States attacked the mansion after piecing together weeks of intelligence, including key indicators of something fishy: burning garbage instead of placing at the curb, no internet service, no telephone service and just 2 highly guarded entrances. Three helicopters carrying a small team of Navy Seals choppered in from Afghanistan, dropped the Seals into the compound to capture Bin Laden, and ended up in a firefight, where he was shot in the head and killed during the fight, along with one of his sons, two couriers, and a woman they were using as a human shield. The whole thing took about 40 minutes, and there were no American casualties.

Celebrations in New York and Washington, D.C. continued well into the early morning after news broke of Bin Laden’s death.
